Keerthy Suresh was born on Octoin Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Malayalam film producer and director Suresh Kumar and Tamil actress Menaka, and she has one sister.

The same year she won the National Film Award for Best Actress at the National Film Awards, the Best Actress award at the Zee Cine Awards (Telugu), and the Siima for Best Actress – Telugu award at the SIIMA Awards for her role in the movie Mahanati.
